i just got to Ventari's Refuge

where do i got to get to the next area?

You go to Aurora Glade, which is NE from there I believe.

One of the quests that you can pick up will take you to the next area. I believe you get it from the Shining Blade guy to your left when you leave the outpost- when you look at your quest log, it should say "Primary Quest" in green next to the name of the quest.
